New things I’ve been loving lately

Lilfox Kalahari eye serum

Truth is I never ever used an eye serum/cream before. Not just because I’m ‘only’ 24 years old but also because I think a regular (gentle) face serum works just as well. But since my eye area got a bit dry and yes, kind of wrinkly, I decided to start using an eye serum to see if it could make a difference. I chose a packaging with a glass rollerball because I really like the cooling effect that it gives and it is very easy to use. Kalahari is a nutrient rich infusion of cold pressed seed oils with Rosa damascena and New Caledonian sandalwood oils. Powerful active botanical formula revitalizes under eye area, reduces dark circles, and hydrates while softening fine lines and wrinkles.  Vitamin A and E refresh tired eyes while tightening skin under and around eyes. I can’t say I saw in improvement on fine lines but I definately noticed how healthy, smooth and radiant my eye area is lately. Lilfox got me converted to using an eye serum from now on and I’m very eager to try more of this great brand

Osmia Lip Doctor

I got this lip balm in my last Beauty Heroes box as a sidekick and to be honest I wasn’t looking forward to this box. Not because it was Osmia but only because I’m not into body products and not into lip products. Turns out I was wrong and got to love both products, especially this months sidekick. I have tried many lip balms in the past, from conventional to natural brands but all of them dried my lips out even though I don’t have dry lips to begin with. This balm is different and really does what it promisses, make my lips feel butter soft. Lip Doctor is made with only six ingredients, including organic olive oil (infused with lavender), Organic cocoa butter, beeswax, avocado and argan oils. If you’re on the hunt for an amazing lipbalm, please give this one a try!

Earthwise Beauty Ambriosa Del Cerrado liquid moisturizer and toner

I was looking for a replacement for my beloved Moss Healing Dew, which acts as a mixing agent to make facial oils sink in better and faster. I had no idea what to choose until I saw this serum and Nap in the Meadow popping up on my screen. I planned ahead to buy these both but the kindest person on earth (yes you my dear Anet! <3) decided to gift these to me which I’m forever grateful for!

Back to Ambriosa, it’s a cross between a hydrating toner and moisturizer. I use it as a first step in my routine on damp skin (this really does the trick) and apply any oil on top to lock in the moisture. It hydrates a lot better than a toner and sinks in within seconds. Ambriosa is super rich in vitamins (vitamin C, betacarotene, vitamins B1 and B2, all promoting firm, supple, even-toned skin) which really shows after some weeks of usage. My skin is glowing, especially when combined with Nap, and very healthy looking

Bella Aura Gentle purifying cleanser

A month ago I purchased the Bella Aura Essential Energy Boosting Kit which is a sample set of all their products. I haven’t had a chance to try all the samples out but I did try and empty their cleanser which is exactly what I was looking for. It’s a cream that slightly foams up and rinses 95% completely clean. What I love most about it is that it never dries my skin out, which is a hard thing to find in foaming cleansers. The only thing I’m not keen on is the Neroli scent but I know many people adore the scent. My mom for example told me I smelled so good when I applied the daycream, and believe me that is a rare thing for her to say 😉 This cleanser has a combination of Kamilah blend oils containing Argan, Fig de Barbary, Neroli and Nigella which all thoroughly cleanse and detoxify the skin. I will for sure buy the full-size because it works so well and the price is also excellent

Maya Chia The Super Couple, ultra luxe face oil serum

It couldn’t have been a better Beautyheroes box for me as the January box contained the Super Couple oil and a Supercritical Chia balm (heaven!). The Super Couple is a multi-correctional face oil serum combining astaxanthin with chia seed oil. I had been eyeing Maya Chia since I started to use natural products but never got around to buying it since I was (and still am) waiting for it to come to Europe. If you have combination to oily skin, this oils is the one! It sinks in so fast, gives the skin a healthy glow and it doesn’t break my skin out. My usual routine is: 6 drops of Earthwise Beauty Ambriosa on damp skin, a mixture of 4 drops of Maya chia Super Couple with one pump of Earthwise Beauty Nap in the Meadow. This trio is just the perfect combination for me and gives me the softest skin I’ve ever had.

  1. I’ve been loving the Lip Doctor this month too, thanks to Beauty Heroes. I’m not much of a lip care person either, so I was surprised how much I liked it. The Lilfox serum sounds beautiful. I don’t use a dedicated eye serum, but now I’m re-evaluating! haha
